Classic Biscotti

Who doesn't like something crispy, sweet and delicious?

These biscottis are simply perfect and so easy and so customisable!! You won't believe how a handful of basic ingredients can get you such a tasty treat!!

Look at how crisp and golden and beautiful they look!! Trustme they taste real good too!!!

For 22 (1/2") biscottis


INGREDIENTS

1-1/5 cup (180gm) Flour*

1/2 cup+ 2tbsp (120gm) Sugar

1 Egg

3/4t Baking powder

1/4t Baking soda

2t Almond extract**

3T Milk

2T Oil or melted butter


Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your ove tray with parchment paper.

2. In a medium-sized bowl, sift in your flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well

3. Make a well in the centre of your dry ingredients, add your egg and almond extract into the well and mix well

4. Then slowly add in you oil or butter and milk and form a dough.

5. Form the dough into a rectangle roughly 11" long and 1" thick.

6. Put your dough onto the parchment and bake it for 30mins.

7. After 30mins, let the biscotti cool for 10mins in the oven.

8. After 10mins, take the baked biscotti log out and cut it into 1/2" pieces.

9. Place the now cut biscotti on the parchment again and bake it for 10mins at 350°F (if you like them to be a little soft) or for 20mins at 350°F (if you like them crispy).

10. After baking, finish cooling them on a wire rack.

NOTES

*I used 90gm of all purpose and 90gm of wholemeal flour, but feel free to use any flour or gluten-free flour of choice

**Feel free to use vanilla extract or anyother extract of choice
