What if I said all you needed to make this tart was 5 ingredients and 20 minutes..... Hard to believe right? But yes, that's all you need to make this perfect, creamy tart for a super lazy day treat!!

So pretty and so delicious!! It's got perfect hints of espresso and a bit of saltiness from the flaky salt (totally optional). The base is so crispy and the filling is so creamy. Utter perfection!!

So, I got a tart mold for my 16th birthday (it was on 1st October), and it got delivered pretty late, but as soon as it came I knew that this was the first thing I wanted to make...

I used a 9" tart mold, but if you don't have one, free feel to use a small springform pan.. And also it is pretty customizable so if you don't want to add espresso, don't, or if you want to add some other flavor, go ahead!! Also I used 2 types of biscuits, but obviously you can use anyone type

Yield: 1 9" tart

INGREDIENTS:

240 gm Biscuits*

5T (71 gm) Melted butter

1 cup Heavy Cream (250ml)

12 oz (340g) Good quality chocolate, finely chopped

1-1/2T Espresso powder

Flaky sea salt (optional)

Directions:

1. To make the crust: Pulse the biscuits, in a food processor until finely ground. Transfer crumbs to a medium bowl, add melted butter, and mix until combined and moistened. Press the mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch (23cm) tart pan. Place it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to firm up before adding the filling.

2. To make the filling: In a small saucepan over medium heat add in the cream and sift in the espresso powder (to avoids any lumps), bring the heavy cream to a low boil. Remove from the heat and add the chopped chocolate to it. Let sit for 1 minute. Using a rubber spatula, stir mixture until melted and smooth (if not completely melted, heat in the microwave for several seconds and stir, until melted). Pour mixture over the chilled crust and refrigerate until set, at least 20 minutes or overnight.

3. Tart will keep, covered well, for up to 5-6 days in the fridge.

Enjoy <3

NOTES:

*I used 14 Oreos, and 17 hide & seek biscuits, but you can use only Oreos or another biscuit you like
